Off the tops of your heads: Who are some of the best, most popular, and/or most prolific actors that ALSO have a ton of terrible movies under their belt (but it doesn’t seem to affect their ability to keep getting hired)? I’ll start: Julianne Moore.

Yeah, he just takes all the movies he can get. Most of them end up bad, but some end up being good.

Superb in “The Family Man.”

Great in Gone in 60 Seconds, the movie wasn’t great, but is a guilty pleasure of mine.

He gets a bum rap because he’s been in some absolute shite movies.

Adam Sandler. I hate him because he was so remarkably, remarkably good in Punch Drunk Love and it genuinely pains me that he could do so much better (even if it means being poor).

Peter Cushing

Christopher Lee

(Hammer Dracula films are obviously not awful, despite having both)

Nicholas Cage, as noted below.

Ben Kingsley, Will Smith, and DENIRO. Seriously, Robert Deniro is the king of that wrap.

Daniel Day Lewis is probably the only actor who hasn’t made a bad movie, but he’s not prolific at all.

Yeah, DDL is definitely very choosy. And wisely so.

I liked Punch Drunk Love, and I also thought Spanglish was a good comedy/drama role for him. I was a big Happy Gilmore fan, I have to admit.

Steve Buschemi. He aslo lots of good movies, but he is the surprise highlight in plenty of bad movies too.

the list is epic.
